change your attitude.

People are often unreasonable and
self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of
ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be
honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world
the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the
end, it is between you and HIM not you and them.

Here in Swaziland with so many
people and so much activity and so much work all the time can wear anyone down
even on their best day. It becomes so
easy to take offence. Judgment and a
sour attitude rise to the surface so quickly!

After the sweet and Holy conviction
to adjust my attitude toward others I was so glad to get some fresh but age old
truth and insight.  I needed help with my attitude with some people.

But the Lord wasnt finished with me
yet. Haha I can be such an idiot.  He not so gently reminded me that I
am often unreasonable and self-centered. I can be unkind. I sometimes lack
honesty in love. I have been jealous of
others happiness. I have neglected to
continue doing good for no good reason. Too many times I struggle to give my best when I can get by with mediocrity.

So the people around me are probably
needing this Mother Teresa quote even more than I do because they need to figure
out how to deal with the hardship of having me in their lives.
